Kipling School

Kipling School is part of the Aspen Grove School Division.  It consists of two physical plants. The Elementary School consists of six classrooms used for Kindergarten to Grade 3 classes. The High School contains 21 classrooms for Grades 4 to 12. In total the school has 285 students with 23 teachers and nine support staff.

The Elementary School offers a secure, nurturing environment for the students along with a special education program and speech pathology support for designated students.

The High School offers a wide assortment of academic programs. The students can take part in classes in the areas of: Art, French, Band, Practical and Applied Arts (PAA), Computers, Accounting, Calculus, Psychology, Physical Education, Work Experience and other regularly scheduled courses. The school also offers special education and speech pathology support where needed.

The school's vocational program allows students to specialize in woodworking, computer assisted drafting, welding, photography, cooking and sewing in two well-equipped labs. The computer program is offered in a modern computer lab that contains 24 computers, all networked for High Speed Internet access. The science programs are offered in two equipped science labs. All grades are offered a Physical Education program in our gymnasium that is equipped for several sports including gymnastics.

The school's library provides our students an excellent opportunity to do extensive research and leisure time reading. The library contains networked computers for Internet access to do research. The library also contains 8,000 titles, 30 magazine subscriptions and encyclopedia access in both print and CD-Rom forms.

The school offers several extra curricular activities for the students. The school competes in such sports as soccer, golf, volleyball, badminton, curling, track and field and handball. The school also offers the students a chance to take part in drama, print yearbook, video yearbook, school newspaper, environment club and student politics.

The High School also provides several support services to help the student. The students have access to a career counselor and social worker to help with any career and personal needs. Both schools have access to Hot Meal programs and Volunteer Fluoride Rinse programs to help promote healthy life-styles.

Community Organized Playschool that operates in liaison with the Kipling School and open to students age 4 to 5.  For more information call Sherri Kish at 736-2992

SCN Site
Offers secondary and post-secondary classes as distributed via Satellite by the Saskatchewan Communications Network.

Southeast Community College
Located in Whitewood, sponsors educational seminars and workshops in such fields as computer training, CPR, etc. The classes offered and their location is based on local demand.

Southeast Regional Library, Kipling Branch
The library is approximately 800 square feet in size. There is an estimated 5,000 books on hand including reference material. The library also offers a Community Access Program site, which makes Internet access and training available to the public. The library offers a Children's Story Hour and Summer Reading Program.
